Spring Ari Pants

The name Ari comes from 항아리 (hangari), traditional Korean earthenware jars used to store kimchi, soy sauce, and other deeply rooted flavours of home. Wide through the middle and narrowing toward the base, hangari are vessels of time, of slow processes, of care, of transformation. Just like childhood.

The colours in this pair echo my enthusiasm for the spring ahead, written as I watch the winter rain outside. Some fabric started life as a vintage tablecloth, some was found on my trip to Korea, and some are remnants from past projects, all brought together in one.
